Plano, TX (October 3, 2025) – A tragic chain-reaction crash Tuesday morning in Plano has claimed the life of a pedestrian, identified as 75-year-old Barkat Ali Ismail, according to local authorities.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred at approximately 8:00 a.m. on September 30, 2025, at the intersection of Parkwood Boulevard and Legacy Drive. A dark-colored Kia Niro traveling westbound on Legacy Drive attempted a left turn onto Parkwood Boulevard when it struck the driver’s side of an oncoming gray Ford Bronco.

The impact caused the Bronco to roll over and crash onto the sidewalk, where it struck two pedestrians. Both individuals were rushed to a local hospital. Sadly, Barkat Ismail was pronounced dead from his injuries. The second pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening wounds.
