San Diego, CA (October 3, 2025) – A rear-end collision on the southbound 805 Freeway sent one person to the hospital Thursday afternoon in San Diego.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 2:46 p.m. on October 2, just south of the Highway 52 interchange. A black Chevrolet Suburban was traveling in the slow lane when it was rear-ended by a blue car, causing injuries to at least one individual.
San Diego Fire-Rescue personnel arrived on scene and temporarily blocked the slow lane to assist the injured party and clear the wreckage. One person was transported to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries has not been released.
CHP officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the crash. Traffic delays were reported in the area during the response.
