Edinburg, TX (October 3, 2025) – A McAllen man died after being seriously injured in a motorcycle crash early Tuesday morning at a busy Edinburg intersection.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash took place around 7:06 a.m. on September 30 at the intersection of Trenton Road and McColl Road. Investigators say a black Chevrolet Malibu was heading westbound on Trenton Road when it attempted a left-hand turn onto McColl Road.
During the turn, the Malibu reportedly failed to yield the right of way and collided with a motorcycle traveling eastbound on Trenton Road. The motorcyclist, identified as 35-year-old Adrian Mario Garza of McAllen, was rushed to DHR Health with serious injuries. Despite medical efforts, he later died.
The driver of the Malibu was not injured. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause and circumstances of the crash.
