According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision occurred at approximately 1:11 a.m. on October 2 on the southbound side of the freeway near mile marker 67.50. Responding units arrived to find a downed motorcycle and the rider, identified as Bobby Brown of Victorville, with fatal injuries.
