Palmdale, CA (October 4, 2025) – A deadly crash claimed the life of one driver early Friday morning following a high-impact collision on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Palmdale.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 12:50 a.m. on October 3 on the northbound side of the Antelope Valley Freeway, just south of Sierra Highway.
A 42-year-old woman from Palmdale was driving a 2005 Mercedes-Benz C300 when she struck the rear of a 2005 Mini Cooper. The force of the impact caused the Mini Cooper to veer off the highway and crash into a nearby mountainside. The driver of the Mini Cooper was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The Mercedes driver and her passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Authorities are still investigating the crash to determine contributing factors.
