Big Bear Lake, CA (October 10, 2025) – A motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital Thursday afternoon following a serious head-on collision in Big Bear Lake, according to the California Highway Patrol.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 1:48 p.m. on October 10 on Highway 18 near Glory Ridge Road. The crash involved a black Civic motorcycle and a white Volkswagen Passat.
The rider was ejected and found down in traffic lanes with major injuries. Air medical services transported the patient to Loma Linda Medical Center for further care. The driver of the Volkswagen’s condition has not been released.
Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the crash. Authorities continue to gather evidence at the scene.
