South Los Angeles, CA (October 9, 2025) – A tow truck driver lost their life early Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle on the 110 Freeway near Florence Avenue, according to officials.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. on October 7 on the southbound side of the freeway. The tow truck driver had stopped on the right shoulder to assist another person when they were hit by a passing vehicle.
