Santa Ana, CA (October 9, 2025) – A food truck driver was killed and two others injured in a rollover crash late Tuesday night in Santa Ana. Authorities have identified the deceased as 67-year-old Richardson Ayala of Anaheim.
According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the collision occurred around 10:45 p.m. on October 8 in the 200 block of Warner Avenue near Broadway. Investigators say Ayala was operating a food truck and attempting a left-hand turn from Warner Avenue onto Broadway when his vehicle collided with a Chevrolet Trailblazer.
The impact caused the food truck to overturn, ejecting Ayala from the vehicle. Emergency personnel arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene. Two other individuals sustained minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash, including the cause of the collision and whether speed or other factors played a role.
