According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident occurred around 6:51 p.m. on October 12 on the southbound side of US-101. A white sedan traveling northbound in the wrong direction collided head-on with a southbound vehicle, triggering a chain-reaction crash involving at least two additional vehicles.
