Tucson, AZ (February 7, 2025) – A motorcyclist identified as 69-year-old Nicholas Jeffers was killed in a crash Friday afternoon on Golf Links Road, according to the Tucson Police Department.
The accident happened on February 7 at the intersection of Golf Links Road and Aviation Highway. Authorities reported that Jeffers was riding a 2018 Indian motorcycle when he attempted to enter the Aviation Highway on-ramp. He then rear-ended a stationary 2013 Volkswagen in the roadway.
Jeffers was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Volkswagen driver was unharmed.
Police cited the Volkswagen driver for stopping in the gore area and noted that Jeffers’ speed was a contributing factor. The investigation remains ongoing.
