Houston, TX. (October 19, 2025) – A devastating crash early Friday morning on the Interstate 10 Freeway claimed the life of Christian Rangel and his girlfriend, Bianca Romero, in Houston.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. near the Taylor Street exit. Investigators say a Tesla traveling on I-10 southbound rear-ended a Nissan. The violent impact caused the Nissan to ignite into flames.
The Tesla continued moving after the initial crash and ultimately slammed into the concrete freeway barrier before coming to a stop.
Emergency crews responded quickly, extinguishing the blaze, but found both Christian Rangel and 22-year-old Bianca Romero deceased inside the Nissan. The driver of the Tesla was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that have not yet been detailed.
