Ramona, CA (October 21, 2025) – A woman was tragically killed early Sunday morning in a crash involving a mobility scooter and a passenger vehicle in Ramona, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities with the CHP reported that the accident happened around 4:57 a.m. on October 19, 2025, at the intersection of Main Street and Julian Street. The 76-year-old woman was riding a three-wheeled mobility scooter northbound on Main Street in low-light conditions when she was struck by a Toyota sedan.
The impact ejected the woman from the scooter. She was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. The Toyota driver, a resident of Santa Maria, was not injured and remained at the location.
