Snyder, TX (October 21, 2025) – A motorcycle crash in Scurry County claimed the life of one rider and seriously injured another Thursday afternoon near Snyder.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred on October 17, 2025, along U.S. Highway 84 at Ennis Creek Road. Authorities reported that 55-year-old Daniel Martin of Hot Springs, Arkansas, was traveling northbound on a motorcycle when he collided with the rear of an SUV that had just turned onto the highway from Ennis Creek Road.
Daniel Martin sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital in Lubbock. His passenger, 50-year-old Theresa Martin, also of Hot Springs, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both motorcyclists were wearing helmets at the time of the crash. The SUV driver was not injured.
