According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal accident occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. on October 23. A Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was traveling north on Twin City Highway when it struck the back of a box truck that was slowing down to make a left turn.
The driver of the Tacoma sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the man’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
