Midland, TX (October 29, 2025) — A man was killed Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at a busy intersection in Midland, according to officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred around 4:00 p.m. on October 27 at the intersection of Business 20 and Elkins Road. Investigators say 77-year-old Henry Jesse Vasquez of Midland was driving a 2018 Nissan Frontier eastbound in the left turn lane of Business 20 when he attempted to turn left into oncoming traffic.
While making the turn, Vasquez’s vehicle was struck by a westbound 2020 Ram 2500 driven by 42-year-old Inderveer Singh Rehal, also of Midland. Vasquez died at the scene. Both men were reportedly wearing seatbelts, and Rehal was not injured.
Clear weather conditions were reported at the time. The crash remains under investigation.
