Okanogan County, WA (November 3, 2025) – A fatal pedestrian crash occurred Saturday evening on State Route 97 in Okanogan County, resulting in one person’s death.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the incident was reported at approximately 7:11 p.m. on November 1 near milepost 265 on the northbound side of State Route 97. Authorities say a pedestrian was walking in the roadway when they were initially struck by a vehicle.
The driver of that first vehicle stopped on the shoulder and remained at the scene. Tragically, two additional vehicles also struck the pedestrian afterward and continued on without stopping.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officials have not released the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin. Investigators noted that impairment may have been a factor in the crash.
