San Antonio, TX (November 11, 2025) – A deadly high-speed crash late Wednesday night has claimed the life of 33-year-old Robert Espinoza, following a street racing incident on the East Side of San Antonio.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at approximately 11:28 p.m. on November 5 in the 8700 block of Interstate Highway 10 East. Police said two white BMWs — a BMW M4 and BMW M34 — were racing eastbound when one of the vehicles rear-ended Espinoza’s Nissan.
The impact caused Espinoza’s vehicle to spin several times before coming to a stop in the main traffic lanes. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Both BMW drivers, both aged 20, were taken into custody and charged with racing resulting in serious bodily injury.
