According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident occurred around 5:33 a.m. on Sunday, November 9, near the intersection of 8th Street and Warren Lane. The Santa Rosa Police Department reported that a Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling south on Warren Lane at a high rate of speed when it veered off the road, struck a fire hydrant, and then crashed into a parked vehicle.
