According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the deadly collision occurred around 2:40 a.m. on November 11 in the 6100 block of North Sam Houston Parkway West (Beltway 8), near the intersection with Highway 249. Deputies reported that a vehicle traveling along the eastbound feeder road failed to control its speed and struck a Honda motorcycle that was stopped on the road.
