HARTLEY, TX (November 19, 2025) – A Sunday afternoon crash in Hartley County claimed the life of 33-year-old Daniel Jiminez and left another driver injured, according to state authorities.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal accident occurred around 3 p.m. on November 16, 2025, along U.S. Highway 87. Jiminez was driving a 2015 Nissan Altima when he was rear-ended by a westbound 2025 Ford F-350 driven by 68-year-old Carla Hartwell of Dalhart.
Despite wearing a seatbelt, Jiminez was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Hartwell was treated for minor injuries at the location and later released.
