Santa Rosa, CA (November 21, 2025) – A Santa Rosa police motorcycle officer was injured Tuesday evening after a collision with another vehicle while responding to a call.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 5:40 p.m. on November 18 as the officer was riding northbound on Mendocino Avenue, just north of Steele Lane. Authorities reported that the driver of a white Subaru Outback was exiting a parking lot in the 2200 block of Mendocino Avenue and attempted to cross into the southbound lanes.
Despite emergency braking attempts, the officer collided with the vehicle. He sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment before being released later that day. The Subaru driver was not injured in the crash.
An investigation into the cause of the collision is being conducted by the Santa Rosa Police Department.
