Chicago, IL (May 14, 2025) – An early morning crash left three people injured after a vehicle slammed into a pole in the Lincoln Square neighborhood on May 12.
According to reports, the collision occurred around 3 a.m. in the 4700 block of North Western Avenue. Authorities said a 56-year-old man driving a Buick LaCrosse lost control of the car and struck a pole. The impact caused serious injuries to the driver, who was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. He remains in serious condition.
A female passenger in the vehicle sustained head and chest injuries and was also taken to Illinois Masonic, where she is listed in critical condition. Another woman in the car suffered minor injuries and was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston and is reported to be in fair condition.
No other vehicles were involved. The Major Accident Investigation Unit continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
