Conroe, TX (November 26, 2025) – Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal hit-and-run earlier this month as 46-year-old Brett Wilborn. The deadly incident occurred on the night of November 9 in the 200 block of North Loop 336 East in Conroe.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Wilborn was walking when he was struck by an SUV and then a second vehicle. While the driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and called 911, the SUV fled the scene. Wilborn died from his injuries.
Following an investigation, the SUV was discovered hidden in a closed garage. On Friday, police arrested 35-year-old Stephen Santeli Castro, who was behind the wheel during the hit-and-run. He faces charges for failing to stop and render aid. Passenger Angelica Flores, 61, was also arrested for failing to report a felony. Their pastor, Juan Murillo Wilson, 34, was charged with tampering with physical evidence after reportedly concealing the SUV.
