San Francisco, CA (November 26, 2025) – A multi-vehicle pileup on westbound Interstate 80 led to minor injuries and significant traffic disruption Monday morning in San Francisco.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:14 a.m. on November 24, just east of the Yerba Buena Island off-ramp. Emergency responders arrived to find a gray Mazda overturned on its driver’s side with the driver trapped inside. The crash also involved a white Dodge truck and a white Honda Accord.
Officials said a fourth vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene before officers arrived. Investigators believe the Honda Accord may have initiated the collision.
At least one person sustained minor injuries, although it is unclear whether the individual was transported to the hospital. The Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of I-80 were temporarily closed during the on-scene investigation and vehicle recovery.
