Fresno, CA (November 26, 2025) – A pedestrian who was struck and fatally injured in north Fresno has been identified as 48-year-old James Harvey, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly incident occurred around 4:03 a.m. on Sunday, November 23, at the intersection of Bullard Avenue and First Street. Harvey had been walking westbound on Bullard Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle while in the intersection.
Emergency responders transported Harvey to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police stated that alcohol or drug impairment was not suspected to be involved in the crash. The Fresno Police Department is continuing to investigate the cause of the incident.
