According to the Texas Department of Public Safety , the accident happened at approximately 5:14 p.m. on November 25 in the 1800 block of Highway 327. A westbound 2014 Jeep Cherokee was attempting to turn left into a private driveway when it was rear-ended by a 2013 silver Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 26-year-old Austin Tyler Armstrong of Livingston.
Tragically, 11-month-old Elijah Howard died in the crash. The infant’s mother and three other family members sustained injuries and were taken to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
