Bakersfield, CA (November 29, 2025) – A motorcyclist suffered major injuries in a collision with a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in northwest Bakersfield, according to California Highway Patrol reports.
According to the California Highway Patrol , the crash took place at approximately 3:14 p.m. on November 25, 2025, at the intersection of Renfro Road and Greatest Place. Investigators say a 56-year-old man was driving a white van westbound on Renfro Road and attempted to turn left onto Greatest Place.
At the same time, a 54-year-old man riding a motorcycle was traveling south on Greatest Place and was unable to avoid the turning vehicle. The rider collided with the van and was thrown from the motorcycle.
Emergency personnel transported the motorcyclist by ambulance to Kern Medical Center with major injuries. The van driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. No signs of impairment were reported, and the crash remains under active investigation.
