Salinas, CA (November 30, 2025) – A man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash suspected to involve alcohol early Saturday morning at a busy intersection in Salinas.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 7:15 a.m. on November 29 at the intersection of North Sanborn Road and Boronda Road. A 37-year-old woman was driving a Cadillac Escalade and attempted to turn right onto eastbound Boronda Road when her vehicle was struck from behind by a speeding Chevrolet Silverado.
The 26-year-old man driving the Silverado reportedly tried to brake, but his vehicle skidded and slammed into the rear of the Cadillac. He sustained serious injuries and was transported to Natividad Medical Center for further treatment. The Cadillac driver was not injured in the crash.
Police suspect the Silverado driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the collision. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.
