Gordon County, GA (May 14, 2025) – According to reports, a devastating multi-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning claimed the lives of three people and left two others hospitalized in Gordon County.
The collision occurred May 13 along the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 and involved a total of six vehicles, including three tractor-trailers. Georgia State Patrol officials said the deadly chain reaction began when a tractor-trailer struck a passenger car, then continued into two more big rigs and two other vehicles. One of the involved vehicles, a Ford Ranger, reportedly caught fire following the crash.
Emergency crews responded swiftly and transported at least two victims to nearby hospitals for treatment. The three deceased individuals have not yet been publicly identified.
As of Wednesday morning, one right lane on the interstate remains closed as cleanup and investigations continue.
