Klamath County, OR (November 30, 2025) – Two people were killed in a devastating two-vehicle crash on Highway 140E in Klamath County Wednesday afternoon, according to authorities.
According to the Oregon State Police, the collision occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m. on November 26 near milepost 16. Investigators said 24-year-old Tahj Mahalia Miller of Klamath Falls was driving a Honda Civic westbound when he entered the eastbound lane in an attempt to pass other vehicles.
At the same time, a Cadillac CTS also moved into the eastbound lane to pass, clipping the Honda. The Cadillac then lost control, veered off the eastbound shoulder, and rolled before coming to rest in a nearby field.
The driver of the Cadillac, Kaden Shakur Moses, 24, of Klamath Falls, was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He died at the scene. A passenger in the Cadillac, Bonner Deb Conney, 52, also of Klamath Falls, was also pronounced dead. Miller and two children, ages 3 and 5, riding in the Civic were unharmed.
Multiple agencies, including the Bonanza Fire Department and ODOT, responded. Highway 140E was closed for nearly six hours while the crash was investigated.
