Rohnert Park, CA (November 30, 2025) – A 17-year-old boy from Sonoma County was arrested Saturday in connection to a fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of an elderly man at a crosswalk in Rohnert Park.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 6:35 p.m. on Friday, November 29, near the intersection of Snyder Lane and Capri Way. Responding officers from Rohnert Park Public Safety found the elderly man deceased at the scene.
Witnesses reported that the man was in the crosswalk when he was struck by a black, lifted Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, which then fled the area.
