The accident occurred around 1:00 a.m. on November 30 near the intersection with Neal Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a black Ford F-150 was traveling northbound on Highway 29 when a white GMC Sierra, driven by a 17-year-old from Molino, attempted to make a left turn onto Neal Road from the southbound lanes. The vehicles collided in the intersection. The impact sent both vehicles into a destructive crash path, prompting a multi-agency emergency response.
A 21-year-old woman from Cantonment, who was pregnant at the time of the crash, was rushed to a nearby hospital where she remains in serious condition. FHP confirmed she tragically lost her child as a result of the accident. The 17-year-old driver was also hospitalized in serious condition.
