Tracy, CA (December 1, 2025) – A man was killed and another injured in a two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning at the intersection of South Tracy Boulevard and Valpico Road in south Tracy.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Tracy Police Department received a call at approximately 6:43 a.m. on November 29 reporting a collision involving a pickup truck and a four-door sedan near the Red Maple Village shopping center.
Authorities say the force of the crash pushed the sedan to the northeast corner of the intersection, where it came to rest in the right-turn lane of westbound Valpico Road. The pickup truck came to a stop nearby. The driver of the sedan was treated on-site by first responders but was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup sustained minor injuries and was not transported.
Each vehicle had a single occupant, and no other vehicles were involved. The intersection was closed in all directions while the Tracy Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit conducted an investigation. It reopened shortly before 2:00 p.m.
