According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 5:25 p.m. on December 1 near milepost 379 on U400, roughly 0.1 miles east of U.S. Route 75. A 2012 Suzuki Grand Vitara, driven by 21-year-old Tiffany Renee Kuhn of Pittsburg, was traveling westbound when she lost control of the vehicle and struck an eastbound 2016 Chevrolet Colorado.
The Chevrolet was occupied by 24-year-old Trevor James Sturgis and 21-year-old Christina Ann Marie Robinson, both from Brookline, Missouri. All three individuals complained of pain and were transported to area hospitals — Kuhn to Parsons Hospital, and Sturgis and Robinson to Independence Hospital.
