Marshall, MO (December 4, 2025) – A Kansas City truck driver suffered serious injuries following a collision between two semi-trucks on Interstate 70 late Monday morning in Saline County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on a congested portion of I-70 near Marshall. Authorities say traffic had slowed when a semi-truck, operated by a 71-year-old Kansas City man, failed to reduce speed and rear-ended another semi. The impact forced both trucks off the roadway and into the median.
The Kansas City driver was transported to University Hospital with serious injuries. The second driver, a 68-year-old man from Wilcown, Virginia, was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Debris and wreckage caused temporary disruptions along the interstate as emergency crews worked to clear the highway and investigate the cause of the collision.
