According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident took place around 1:25 p.m. when a white Mercedes-Benz, making a left turn, struck the woman as she crossed eastbound from Genesee Avenue and continued west on Mount Alifan Drive. The collision left her with a broken hip.
Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released further details about the driver’s involvement or whether they remained at the scene.
