According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 9:40 p.m. on December 5 along U.S. Highway 6, approximately eight miles from Green River. Mayor Hatt, 40, had recently been re-elected and was traveling eastbound in a 2020 Hyundai Palisade when the crash occurred.
