Bronx, NY (December 7, 2025) – A high-speed crash involving a sedan and two trucks early Friday morning near Hunts Point Market has left one woman dead and four others injured.
According to the New York State Police, the fatal accident occurred just before 4:40 a.m. on December 5 along eastbound Bruckner Boulevard, near the entrance to the market. Authorities say a white 2016 Infiniti sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed when it failed to safely navigate a turn and struck two trucks that were slowing for a red light.
The impact caused the sedan to spin out of control and sustain severe damage. The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad confirmed that three occupants were extricated from the car. The driver, identified as 29-year-old Angie Miguel of New Haven, Connecticut, was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where she was later pronounced dead.
The 26-year-old female passenger in the back seat and a 29-year-old male front passenger were also hospitalized, along with the 26-year-old driver of a box truck and a 29-year-old driver of a second truck. All are reported to be in stable condition. The crash led to partial road closures and a fuel spill from the 13-wheel semi-truck, which required cleanup.
