Allentown, PA (December 9, 2025) — A late-night police pursuit in Allentown ended in tragedy after a driver crashed and died, and two Pennsylvania State Police troopers sustained injuries. The deadly incident began around 12:13 a.m. on December 7 when troopers attempted to stop a 1999 Ford F-150 that refused to pull over near Lehigh and 29th Streets.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the pursuit escalated when the suspect vehicle briefly stopped, then struck the troopers as they approached on foot before fleeing again. The chase continued until the truck lost control near the intersection of 12th and Vultee Streets, colliding with a fire hydrant, a utility pole, and ultimately crashing into the Lehigh Valley Logistics building.
The 27-year-old driver was ejected during the crash and was later pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. The two troopers involved were also transported to the hospital and have since been treated and released.
