Dent County, MO (December 11, 2025) – A devastating collision claimed two lives and left multiple people injured Wednesday morning in Dent County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 7:16 a.m. on December 10 on Highway 72 near County Road 2300. A 2017 Chevrolet Spark traveling eastbound crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2015 Dodge Charger head-on. Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene by Whitaker’s Towing.
The 60-year-old male driver of the Spark, a resident of Salem, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Dent County Deputy Coroner. The 31-year-old female driver of the Charger, also from Salem, was seriously injured and transported to Salem Memorial Hospital. A 1-year-old girl in her vehicle also suffered serious injuries. A 9-month-old girl tragically passed away from her injuries after being taken to the same hospital.
This marks the first and second fatal crashes for Troop I in December and the 28th and 29th for the year.
