Bullock County, AL (December 12, 2025) — A three-vehicle crash Monday evening tragically claimed the life of one woman and left two others injured on Alabama Highway 51, just west of Hurtsboro.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the crash occurred around 7:00 p.m. on December 8. Authorities say 61-year-old Maria Perez, a resident of Columbus, Georgia, was driving a small SUV when it collided head-on with a car driven by 64-year-old Eric Ousley of Union Springs. Moments later, Perez’s vehicle was struck by a third vehicle, driven by 23-year-old Kelsey Bozeman of Fitzpatrick.
Perez was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officials. Ousley and Bozeman sustained injuries and were transported to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery for further treatment. Alabama Highway 51 was temporarily shut down as investigators worked to document the scene and clear the wreckage.
