Dent County, MO (December 13, 2025) – Two people, including an infant, were killed and multiple others seriously injured following a devastating crash on Highway 72 early Tuesday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:16 a.m. on December 10, just east of County Road 2300. A 2017 Chevrolet Spark, driven by a 60-year-old man from Salem, reportedly crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2015 Dodge Charger traveling westbound.
The driver of the Chevrolet Spark died at the scene. A female infant riding in the Charger was later pronounced dead at Salem Memorial Hospital. A 1-year-old girl and the 31-year-old female driver of the Charger were both seriously injured and transported for emergency treatment.
Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene. Troopers confirmed this was Troop I’s first and second fatal crash for December, and the 28th and 29th for 2025.
