El Cerrito, CA (December 15, 2025) – A 57-year-old woman tragically lost her life after being struck by a vehicle early Thursday morning in the East Bay.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 5:40 a.m. on December 12 along the 1700 block of Eastshore Boulevard in El Cerrito. The woman was crossing mid-block when she was hit by a northbound Subaru Outback.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and attempted life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the location due to the severity of her injuries. Authorities have not yet released her identity pending next of kin notification.
