Wethersfield, CT (December 16, 2025) – A woman is dead and two others injured following a wrong-way collision that occurred Sunday evening on Route 15 in Wethersfield, according to state police.
According to the Connecticut State Police, the crash happened on December 14, just north of Exit 58. Authorities say 30-year-old Wendy Lara of Manchester was driving north in the southbound lanes when her vehicle collided head-on with a car traveling correctly in the southbound direction.
Both vehicles sustained major front-end damage due to the impact. Lara was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
