Manchester, NJ (December 19, 2025) – A serious three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon resulted in two women being hospitalized, including one who was airlifted from the scene. The accident occurred at approximately 3:29 p.m. on December 16 at the intersection of Route 70 and Route 571.
According to the New Jersey State Police, 37-year-old Gissela Knoll of Toms River was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune with injuries that were later determined to be non-life-threatening. She remained in stable condition as of Wednesday. Another driver, 25-year-old Cheyanne Nastasi of Beachwood, was taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River for treatment. A third driver, 36-year-old Felix Carter of Jackson, was not injured.
Preliminary reports indicate Nastasi was driving a 2017 Nissan Titan westbound on Route 70 and began a left turn onto Route 571 when it was struck on the rear passenger side by a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE driven eastbound by Knoll. The impact caused a floor jack in the Nissan’s bed to be ejected and strike the undercarriage of a third vehicle, a 2023 Kia Sportage driven by Carter.
