El Paso, TX (December 20, 2025) — A tragic motorcycle accident claimed the life of a 29-year-old rider in northwest El Paso on the morning of Wednesday, December 17.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash occurred in the 1500 block of Northwestern Drive. Authorities say Sergio Valenzuela was riding a 2012 red Honda CBR northbound when he collided with a 2019 Toyota Camry. Investigators believe the Camry, which was traveling south, turned left into a parking lot directly in Valenzuela’s path, causing the crash.
Valenzuela was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene. The El Paso Police Department confirmed this was the 60th traffic-related fatality of 2025, slightly lower than the 68 recorded by the same time last year.
