San Diego, CA (December 21, 2025) — A 33-year-old man was left with life-threatening injuries following a serious motorcycle crash Friday night in the Mission Hills East area near a local shopping center, according to authorities.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. on December 20 along the 3700 block of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard. The victim was operating a 2009 Suzuki motorcycle and traveling eastbound between the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes when a westbound 2014 Nissan Sentra attempted an illegal left-hand turn into a shopping center.
The motorcycle slammed into the passenger side of the Nissan. San Diego Police said the impact left the rider with severe injuries, including brain bleeds, multiple facial lacerations, and he required CPR on the scene. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition. Authorities confirmed alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
