Huntsville, AL (December 21, 2025) – A deadly multi-vehicle crash just southeast of Huntsville claimed the life of one man and left another person injured Thursday evening.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the collision occurred around 5:45 p.m. on December 18 on Highway 431 near Dug Hill Road, approximately five miles from Huntsville. Investigators say 65-year-old Steven Fiorino was driving a 2007 Toyota Tacoma when his vehicle collided head-on with a 2013 Toyota Prius.

Fiorino was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. The driver of the Prius sustained injuries and was transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. Their condition has not been publicly disclosed.
