Ste. Genevieve, MO (December 21, 2025) – A deadly chain-reaction crash involving four vehicles occurred early Thursday morning on westbound Missouri Route 32, just east of Joggerst Road.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 7:13 a.m. on December 19, 2025. Authorities report that a 2025 Volvo VNR truck was stopped on the highway when the front passenger side of a westbound 2018 Kia Forte collided with its towed unit. The impact caused the Kia to overturn and crash into the front of an eastbound 2013 Freightliner B2 bus. That bus then struck a westbound 2016 Toyota Highlander.

The 50-year-old woman driving the Toyota was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by the Ste. Genevieve County Coroner. A 23-year-old woman driving the Kia suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital South. Two other women in the bus, ages 55 and 65, sustained minor injuries and were taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson for treatment.
