Philadelphia, PA (December 21, 2025) – A deadly hit-and-run Friday night in the Feltonville neighborhood has left a woman dead and police searching for the driver responsible.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred around 9 p.m. on December 19, 2025, at the intersection of Whitaker Avenue and Wyoming Avenue. Officials say a 63-year-old woman was crossing within the marked crosswalk when she was struck by a vehicle.
Shockingly, the driver reportedly exited the vehicle to observe the victim but then fled northbound on Whitaker Avenue without offering aid. Emergency responders transported the woman to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Her identity has not yet been released.
